    Digital Citizenship Program Chertsey School

Chertsey School is fortunate to have access to N4L fibre optic network.  This allows staff and students to access learning material and resources at ultra-fast speeds.  We are well resourced in terms of ICT devices with Apple and PC laptops as well as Samsung tablets and iPads which have become an integral tool in our classroom programmes.

Chertsey School staff are conscious of ensuring everyone uses the internet and ICT equipment responsibly and in a way that keeps themselves and others safe.  We belief that we all need to be and act as Digital Citizens when using ICT equipment, whether this be at school or at home.

Chertsey School has a Digital Citizenship agreement which students are required to complete at the beginning of each year and supporting material for students, their families and staff.  Click the PDF link to download.

We encourage parents and caregivers to be involved in their child’s online world and ensure that they are talking with you and showing you what they are using online.  Netsafe has a great resource called Hector’s World which is designed for children to learn about how to stay safe on the internet.
